Emmaus Kimani

Emmaus Kimani is a Kenyan born conceptual artist; born in 1991 and raised mainly in Nairobi. He showcases his ideas through photography and curation primarily. He’s done various courses notably a diploma in Architecture which inspires a huge deal of his photography practice. Architecture is the closest he ever got to an art education but his interest and curiosity has had him read through numerous art related books and almost as many workshop in pursuit of his passion. Professionally he’s shown his photography as art at the Danish Embassy Residence, at the Circle Art Agencies ‘Young Guns’ exhibition; “the Untitled” group show by the collective Brush Tu at Polka Dot Art Gallery; curated a journal; and co curated the “Arts to End Slavery Exhibition”. He’s been taking photos since his first little box Kodak camera at the age of 12. He a member of Brush Tu Art Studio, in Buru Buru, Nairobi, Kenya where he works and practices from.
