Munene Kariithi is a Kenyan artist who describes himself as progressive and experimental. He developed passion for art at an early age. While in school, Munene's artistic practice came to halt after the subject was removed from the syllabus leaving him with an option of computer information systems as the alternative choice of study. Upon completing his education he realized his passion for art outweighed his fascination with computers and consequently began using the internet as a learning tool to revive his artistic journey. He finds inspiration in daily life experiences and his interaction with people and environment. Munene has taken part in several group exhibitions, including at the National Museum, Alliance Francaise, Polka dot Art gallery, capital club East Africa; Safaricom calendar, One off contemporary gallery and in Lagos, Nigeria.
